If you didn't hear back from a Gap, is it worth reapplying is the position is still open? Or should one forget it and find somewhere else?

It's worth reapplying, but ask to speak to a manager when you go into the store. Furthermore, make sure you availability is somewhat good.

If that doesn't get you anywhere, find somewhere else.

It's hard to say because all stores are different, depending on the hiring manager. . . Good luck!

If you don't get hired by Gap, but still want to work for the company, try applying to Old Navy or Banana Republic.

I always follow-up on an application anyway -- if you didn't apply too long ago, you might want to try calling them!

Definitely go into the store and ask to speak to the hiring manager -- make sure they know who you are and can put your face with your name. Tell him or her that you turned in an application recently and that you want to check on the status of the application. I wouldn't necessarily reapply if you applied for the first time recently because all applications are kept on file for six months.

And, as others have said, if it does not work out at Gap, try Banana Republic or Old Navy. Once you get into the corporation, it's pretty easy to transfer around.

Good luck! Be yourself!

Lots of times there are signs in the windows that say hiring even though they are just taking applications - so if you didnt hear back that also might be why
